When most people go shopping at the supermarket they use coupons to get a discount on their purchase. There are also lots of mailers that most of us get every week in our home mail box, filled with promotion coupons that you can clip and save on shopping day. Unfortunately, I have never come across coupons that you can clip out of a newspaper for an auto shipping discount. Don’t get your hopes up yet!

How to get a discount auto shipping rate:
1) use a car transport directory such as Auto-Car-Transport.com or MonsterMoving.com because they will submit your information to multiple auto transport carriers. Then simply select a company that offers a cheap auto shipping rate.
1a) Search ProAutoTransport.com’s national car transport directory for shipping companies and ask them if they are running any special promotions for they dates you are transporting your automobile.
2) Use the same company again. If you are pleased with the vehicle transport service from your last move, then use the same transporter. Repeat customers tend to receive the lowest possible price. This leads to #3.
3) Plan early. If you know you will be shipping a vehicle in December to Florida then get price quotes and book your transport months in advance.
4) Round trip. Use the same auto shipping company to book a round trip for your vehicle.
5) Be flexable on car shipping dates. Mention to the auto shipping carrier that you are willing to book on any day in a given month in order to get the lowest price.
6) For individuals who are “snow birds” there are usually discount rates going to places such as New York, Florida and California.
7) Use transporters that specailize in the service that you require. For example: if you are transporting an automobile such as a Rolls-Royce you should use an auto enclosed shipping company. For transporting a collectible vehicle you should use a antique car shipping company. The same goes for international car shipping and other services your vehicle may require.

Auto Transport Tip: take your time choosing an auto shipping company. Do your research on delivery dates and always start your search for car transporters early.
